Pinterest Tested :Tub Cleaner

Welcome to Pinterest Tested! Ever wonder if that miracle cleaner is really miraculous? Or what about that homemade facial cleanser or delicious-looking recipe? This is the place to find out! I am testing Pins that catch my eye to see if they really live up to the claims made on Pinterest. It's like the Mythbusters of Domesticity! THE TEST: The claim in this Pin is that you can spray on a solution of one part vinegar and one part dish soap, leave it for an hour, then wipe your tub clean. Does it work, no scrubbing or scouring involved? I am skeptical of Pinterest posts like this because the claims are so fantastic. This is one I’ve been wanting to try for a while because I hate cleaning the tub. It’s usually one of the jobs that gets left undone until overnight house guests are coming. (Come on, I know I’m not the only one who does that. Haha.) So I mixed up a solution of one part Dawn dish soap and one part vinegar, sprayed it on half my tub (so I could compare the two sides for more clear results). About an hour later, I came in with a rag, wiped that side down, and this is what I found:
Score! I did not scrub one tiny bit and my tub is sparkling white. The pictures just don’t do it justice. I could actually see the line down the middle where the solution touched the tub!

Project Shoprite

Have you seen the new project runway??? ok i have only seen previews I'm totally excited for date night with my D.V.R. anywho just coming down from and awesome "savings rush" from target saved $68.00!!! love it. then i was hit with the wave of "Tell me your secrets" so i have decided to try something new. this is my shopping list for shoprite this week, & and this is how i spend so little. but first some food for thought: first My “Extreme Couponing” is NOT by clearing shelves, having your stockpile take over your house, using unethical couponing practicing or by spending 1/2 your week preparing your shopping trip. I ‘m an “EXTREME COUPONER” because I can save an extreme amount of money by using legitimate couponing methods, keeping a conservative stockpile of items that can pack my pantry or fit onto an extra shelf or two. And, I buy what we need for myself, my family and my donations without clearing shelves in the supermarket. All from only a few extra hours work a week. cindy at livingrichwithcoupons.com has changed my life by this most important lesson "Throw out the thought of clipping your coupons from the Sunday insert and taking those newly clipped coupons to the store to shop. You are just not going to save money that way. You are now going to shop the circular. Look for the best sale prices on an item and match a coupon to score them at the lowest price. Once an item is available at a super low price, it’s time to stock up. Buy 4 or 6 of the item so you have enough until the next time the price drops low. This simple money saving technique is referred to as stockpiling and it is the key to saving money." the shoprite on rt 33 is my favorite the fully double and are friendly towards coupon! *NOT all shoprites fully double so check with your store) ok now for my shoping list international delight creamer sale price- 2.00 $.55/1 coupon Print coupon ( https://idcrm1.icmodus.com/ ) as low as $00.89! Baggage for free :)

Help the environment and make some money while shopping at Target!

I've accumulated so many free reusable bags over the years its getting a bit crazy. I stash them in my car, handbag and laundry room and use them any chance I can. I actually hate when I forget to bring them into the store as the plastic bags they give me are so thin my groceries have actually dropped out of them a couple of times. Not only that, I'm helping save a plastic bag from reaching the landfill!

Did you know Target gives you 5 cents back for every bag you bring in to bag your shopping? I always bring mine in, 5 cents may not be much but every penny counts! I usually have 4 bags with me so thats a 20 cent saving!

Earth day falls on April 22, 2012 this year and Target will be giving away free reusable shopping bags on Earth day. Bags are limited so get there early!

Chic for Under $50

living on an assistants wages and staying cut is a tough act. but this is my must list to follow!

Know where to go.
There are great stores and brands- like Old Navy, Target, & Playless- that consistently turn out fun, affordable fashion.

Know what to look for.
...pretty (and practical) details like good buttons functioning pockets, and nice flat seams. also neutral colors and jewel tones look richer. The less hardware, logos, and branding, the more polished you look.

Know a good tailor.
Seriously: the easiest way to upgrade an inexpensive buy is to get it tailored to fit your body!!

know when the sales happen.
Pre-fall merchandise gets marked down in September. Sign up for E-mail alerts from your favorite stores so you know about special in-store discounts.

Happy Shopping!
